Enrichment week - Well Being(Agile Internet Safety & Digital Well-being)
Internet Safety:
Online safety refers to the act of staying safe online. It is also commonly known as internet safety, e-safety and cyber safety. It encompasses all technological devices which have access to the internet from PCs and laptops to smartphones and tablets.
Being safe online means individuals are protecting themselves and others from online harms and risks which may jeopardise their personal information, lead to unsafe communications or even effect their mental health and well being.
Digital Well Being:
Digital well being considers the impact of technologies and digital services on people's mental, physical and emotional health. To care for our ‘digital well being’ is to:
- look after personal health, safety, relationships and work-life balance in digital settings;
- act safely and responsibly in digital environments;
- manage digital stress, workload and distraction;
- use digital media to participate in political and community actions;
- use personal digital data for well being benefits;
- act with concern for the human and natural environment when using digital tools;
- balance digital with real-world interactions appropriately in relationships;
